About Course

This is a first-semester course that introduces students to game design and programming. Students use the p5play JavaScript library in order to design, develop, and publish games. Throughout the course, students learn about major programming topics like variables, functions, conditionals, and mouse/keyboard events while building fun and interactive games that they can play and share with others. This is an independent learning course but there is live support available to manage the course, answer questions and will support parents as they help their student through the course. Designed for grades 6-8. This class provides students with high-quality instruction, including all required digital learning materials, class activities, platform access, and instructional services for the duration of the course. The total cost is $89 per semester covering all items listed with no additional fees. The course is delivered asynchronously and is designed for grades 6-8. Classes run from the date of purchase and end when you finalize the materials in the course.
