In fifth grade the focus shifts to developing facilities with numbers smaller than one, and by the end of the year, they should be able to perform all four operations with fractions and decimals. In terms of geometry, students further develop their understanding of shape through investigations of the characteristics of quadrilaterals and triangles, as well as a deep dive into area, perimeter, volume, and surface area. Students are introduced to negative numbers and formal algebraic notation.<br><br>This rigorous 5th Grade curriculum is designed to be both comprehensive and flexible. Each subject is delivered through instructional videos and self-paced, asynchronous assignments, allowing students to progress at a pace that suits their individual learning style. Parents or guardians will assist scholars in completing assignments sequentially, ensuring mastery of each concept before moving forward.
